Maria du Toit is widely known and loved for her mesmerising clarinet performances on stages across the world. Originally from South Africa, she is currently based in Europe where she specialises in solo and chamber music performances.
NEW ALBUMS WITH CHANNEL CLASSICS
Maria's recent album with Dutch pianist Vera Kooper for the label Channel Classics, featuring all-women composers, has garnered great reviews worldwide. The album was prize cd of the week on Dutch classical radio as well as album of the week on Germany's Radio Drei.
On her latest album, Maria presents three new clarinet concertos, all dedicated to her, with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Arjan Tien. This album is due for release at the end of 2025.
CONCERT TOUR TO CHINA
In October 2024 Maria toured South China with pianist Henry Kelder. They gave performances in Guangzhou, Foshan and Shenzen.
CONCERT TOUR TO INDOENESIA
In April 2024 Maria went on a concert tour of Indonesia, together with pianist Tobias Borsboom. The duo gave concerts and master classes in Jakarta, Medan and Yogyakarta.
